It's showtime: Heidelberg is back with a vengeance and launches several new products

At a major online event in conjunction with the China Print trade fair, the German manufacturer presented numerous new materials for the production of printed matter, packaging and labels.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Heidelberg is back!" rainer Hundsdörfer, the head of the German group, said. The iconic offset press manufacturer is back in the spotlight with sales that exceeded its forecasts and the launch of numerous equipment in the commercial, packaging and label segments.

"We have a perspective again - something some of you didn't think was possible - and even a very promising one, sustainable profitability and structural growth." said the executive, a few days before unveiling its latest developments.

At China Print, which was held from June 23 to 27 in Beijing, China, in conjunction with a large online event in eight languages called "It's showtime", Heidelberg launched several machines and solutions just one year after presenting the Drupa 2020 press generation.

The press manufacturer's range of products has been extended with a new sheet-fed offset press Speedmaster CX 104 The company has introduced new solutions for in-mould labelling (IML) and folding carton production and new options in its Versafire digital printing press portfolio (such as metallic effects on the Versafire EV ). Its subsidiary Polar Mohr also presented a new automation equipment, the DC-12 Rapid.

At this major event, Heidelberg also presented its new demonstration center in Wiesloch-Walldorf, Germany, and its folding cylinders under development.
