Mark Lawn, ex Canon, joins Fujifilm Graphic

Mark Lawn, Fujifilm Europe's Print on Demand Solutions Division.

Mark Lawn's first assignment is focused on marketing Fujifilm's new Revoria presses.

Mark Lawn has taken over as head of Fujifilm's Print on Demand (POD) Solutions Europe division this week.

This former head of Canon's Professional Printing and Commercial Inkjet Solutions division revealed a bit about himself in a post on social media: "After 17 years at Canon, I made the extremely difficult decision to leave. I began to understand how much Canon had been a part of my life (euros). To be honest, I didn't realize how much the PP team (Professional printing from Canon, Editor's note ) was going to miss me. (...)
As someone who has been working ever since I left university, I really wanted to take some time off to recharge my batteries. But honestly, 'doing nothing' every day was much harder than I thought.

Yesterday, on my first day in my new role at Fujifilm Graphics as head of print-on-demand solutions in Europe, I couldn't be more excited."

in this new position, Mark Lawn will be responsible for increasing the market presence of the Japanese manufacturer's new Revoria presses in the European countries where this printing machine is available, namely Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

"The company has ambitious growth plans, which will be driven by a remarkable new portfolio of Revoria branded products, he said in an official statement. The future is bright and we have a unique opportunity to bring these products to market in an agile manner, while being innovative, which I believe benefits the market and customers."

And Taro Aoki, head of digital press solutions at Fujifilm Graphic Systems Europe, adds: "After a successful 2021 for Fujifilm's inkjet portfolio, with the launch of the Acuity Ultra R2, Acuity Prime and Jet Press 750S high-speed models, as well as the Samba print bar solutions, we are confident that Mark's creativity, depth of knowledge and passion will help us build on this momentum and take our on-demand digital printing segment to new heights in 2022 and beyond."
