Epson's SureColor SC-R5000L printer, equipped with resin inks, can produce prints on a wide variety of media.

A wide scope of application

In addition to its label press operating with aqueous inks, Epson extends its machine park with the SureColor SC-R5000L, and thus adapts its offer of printing based on resin inks for the signage sector and large format. Very versatile, it is able to accommodate many substrates:

  • vinyl;
  • tarp;
  • textile ;
  • canvas;
  • coated paper ;
  • wallpaper or textured ;
  • film.

Epson UltraChrome RS aqueous resin ink is completely odorless and environmentally friendly, which is an asset for any signage or decoration project intended for sensitive environments (places receiving the public).

In addition, this ink technology provides superior print quality with extreme durability and very good scratch resistance, which in some cases eliminates the need for lamination.

Thanks to the SC-R5000L's fast drying system, it is possible to laminate the print as soon as it comes out of the machine, eliminating the long degassing stage.

A colorimetric stability

Combined with powerful ink heating and drying, the long-life PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads deliver consistent, reliable prints of any length. This product also features Epson's three printing technologies: multi-layer screening, Look-Up Table (LUT) and Micro Weave printing modes.

The SC-R5000L's six colors allow for fine gradations. The optimizer system, useful for example on very open media, acts as a "pore filler" to prevent the ink from penetrating too deeply, in order to restore vibrant colors.
