The CJV330-160, the Print & Cut printer
Available internationally since April 2022, the new Mimaki CJV330-160 printer prints and then cuts the media directly after the end of the print stream. The XY slitter technology, consisting of two to four knives, incorporates a high-precision in-line register and cutting system that can be set in the X and Y axis. This means that as soon as the printing process is complete, the job is already cut to the desired dimensions. This combination of production steps saves printers a great deal of time in job planning.
Another technical advance is the new unwinding process, which makes it easier to change the media. The loading module can be operated by a single operator and can accommodate up to three rolls of media.
Print quality true to color standards
The CJV330-160 is equipped with two of Epson's latest generation PrecisionCore printheads and uses Mimaki's eco-solvent inks, which are available in a variety of ranges to meet the demands of indoor and outdoor signage. The print quality is also enhanced with the new Deep Color Natural input profile, which helps render the most difficult tones and shades:
- vivid and sustained flat tints;
- realistic flesh tones;
- intense reds ;
- neutral gray.
Its production speed can reach 21m2/h as standard, which makes it, among all its features, the right tool for printing jobs with very short deadlines.
Control and command functions are optimized to reduce potential operator errors and cleaning operations improve long-term operation.
