For the first time, Fujifilm is presenting the Acuity Prime Hybrid large-format UV led printer at Fespa 2023, currently being held in Munich, Germany. Based on the Acuity Prime model launched in 2021, this production CMYK press is designed to meet the needs of printers using both rigid and flexible substrates. The Acuity Prime Hybrid will go on sale by the end of the year.
Used as a printing table, the Acuity Prime Hybrid can print up to four rigid substrates simultaneously. The printer is equipped with positioning pegs for precise edge-to-edge printing and, in production mode, reaches speeds of up to 92 m 2 /h.
In reel configuration, it prints substrates up to 2 meters wide, and can accommodate two reels, each 0.9 m wide.
This large-format press handles a wide range of substrates, including Dibond, foam board, acrylic and polyester. And with its Greenguard Gold-certified ink and roll mode, the printer is ideal for wallpaper production, Fujifilm points out.
The press is also equipped with front and rear handling tables for easy positioning of supports.
A beta model will be installed in the UK in June 2023.
