ISO 27001: data security with Canon's uniFlow Online

With ISO 27001 compliance, NT-ware guarantees that all IT security and data protection measures are covered by structured processes when using uniFlow Online, the print and scan management software.

NT-ware, publisher of uniFlow Online, Canon's cloud-based print and scan management software, has been awarded ISO 27001 certification. This means that Canon's German-based division has set up a system to manage the risks associated with the security of the data it processes, and that this system complies with the good practices and principles set out in this international standard.

ISO 27001 certification covers the design, planning, development, quality assurance, support and operation of the uniFlow Online print and scan management cloud solution. It also covers the associated on-site client and server components.

NT-ware chose ISO 27001 because, in addition to its international recognition, it incorporates two essential principles, explains Canon.
Firstly, it is based on certification by an approved external body, ensuring neutrality. For NT-ware, the British Standards Institution (BSI) carried out the audits.
Secondly, this certification involves periodic assessments rather than one-off activities.

"This certification process is part of Canon's ongoing efforts and ongoing commitment to implement the highest standards of security and data protection both in the products created as well as in the way NT-ware operates."
