At the Drupa trade show, currently running until June 7 in Düsseldorf, Germany, HP announced several major press orders from three major international printers and long-standing customers of the American manufacturer: RR Donnelley & Sons (RDD), Cimpress and All4Labels.
RDD, North America's largest commercial printer with 28,000 employees and 43 sites, will install more than 15 HP Indigo and PageWide presses.
These new presses will join the American printer's sites in North America, China and Central America, and will improve productivity and flexibility for customers in the packaging, retail, direct mail and account statement sectors.
For Lisa Pruett, President of RRD's Packaging and Labels segment, investing in HP technology enables us to meet new customer needs for speed-to-market, high-quality products and strong partnerships.
As for Cimpress, a giant in international online printing with 15,000 employees and multiple brands (Vistaprint, National Pen, BuildASign, Drukwerkdeal, Exaprint, Pixartprinting...), it is opening an "NEW CHAPTER in its collaboration with HP, say the two groups.
Cimpress announces its contribution "actively" to the development of new HP Indigo 120K digital press and will buy several units to improve its machine park.
The HP Indigo 120K will meet Cimpress's requirements in terms of productivity, running costs and ease of use.
And Hamburg, Germany-based label and packaging manufacturer All4Labels has signed a multi-year contract for several HP printing machines, designed to strengthen its portfolio with just-in-time and just-in-sequence product offerings.
The contract between the printer with 56 production sites and 6,000 employees and the manufacturer includes HP Indigo V12 presses, HP Indigo 200K presses and upgraded versions of the HP PageWide Advantage 2200.
All4Labels worked with HP on the first beta phases of the Indigo V12 press. And Günther Weymans, COO of All4Labels Group, believes that this press will enable the group to grow further in the current market landscape.
"This technology enables large organizations and brands to quickly adapt to market uncertainties and brand demands, allowing us to improve our offerings and serve our customers better."
The first units will be deployed in various geographical areas this summer 2024.
