A young entrepreneur at the head of a century-old printing company

Armelle Leherle is at the head of the Lefèvre Graphic printing company in Verdun

A commercial printer that went from lead to offset and now to digital, it was bought by Armelle Leherle, a fourth generation printer.

Armelle Leherle has been at the head of Lefèvre Graphic for nearly 3 years. A generalist digital printer (and offset depending on demand) located in downtown Verdun, the company prints on all media (stationery, publishing, signage, etc.) with an increasingly strong focus on signage.

"We have a lot of businesses in the area, the goal is to be able to meet all customer demands, explains Armelle Leherle. The company also offers installation, a service for which it has hired an additional person.

A first investment in an embroidery machine

Armelle Leherle, who bought the company, made as first investment the acquisition of an industrial embroidery machine. She thus responds to the demands of companies who wish to have personalized textiles.

"I expanded into textiles on the advice of the former manager, who advised me to be versatile to deal with the changing market.»

A versatility that allows the printing company to get through this complicated period. The investment in an embroidery machine allows us to respond to both large orders and small quantities. It is a market that is developing well," explains Armelle Leherle.

Just before the health crisis, the company also invested in a Xerox Bianco press that can print white, silver and transparent, and in other equipment such as a cutting plotter.

A printing company created in 1894

The Lefèvre Graphic printing company has existed since 1894. A commercial printer that went from lead to offset and now to digital, it was bought by Armelle Leherle from the founder's great-grandson, 4 e generation of printers. The latter still works in the company as an employee (the print shop has 3 people).

An atypical career

Awarded the Trajectories prize in 2018 (a competition that highlights entrepreneurs with sometimes atypical backgrounds), Armelle studied tourism and communication before becoming the director of a community of communes and finally entering the printing industry.

"The former manager was looking to sell. I interned with the company for a year before taking it over.» A successful approach!
