The largest exhibitor at the trade fair is presenting a number of new products at Fespa, which opened its doors today in Berlin. Durst has just unveiled the flagship machine on its huge stand, the Durst P5 500, an industrial press with a format that it describes as "superwide". It must be said that the led press is impressive: 5.25 meters wide.
The P5 500 is designed to run 7 days a week, 24 hours a day unattended. Equipped with Ricoh GEN5 printheads, this new model in the P5 series operates with the traditional four ink channels of four-color process, but can also be equipped with up to four additional channels to use light colors (c, m, n), white and varnish.
A configuration for printing on mesh is also available.
The rolls can be processed in single, double and triple mode. Roll holders for loading and unloading of printing media are provided.
The Italian manufacturer guarantees precise registration for double-sided printing with the various modes. Finishing tools, including knives for horizontal and vertical cutting, are also available.
"The integration of the Durst Workflow software and the introduction of new features also allows us to increase efficiency considerably." says Andrea Riccardi, product manager of the Durst Group.
With the real-life test completed, the first machines will be delivered in the last quarter of 2022.
Durst also introduced Double 4 technology, which doubles the productivity of some presses, and two new flatbed printers from Durst subsidiary Vanguard.
