Fespa 2022: Kudu, the SwissQprint printer with up to 10 channels

At Fespa 2022, SwissQprint unveiled the Kudu, a 3.2 × 2-meter flatbed that can be configured with up to 10 channels and achieves 300 m2/hr of printing and 1350 dpi.

After the Nyala, Impala and Oryx, a new antelope joins the SwissQprint portfolio: the Kudu. This model, which was first unveiled at the Fespa 2022 trade fair currently being held in Berlin, is a high-end UV LED flatbed printer with a printing area of 3.2 × 2 meters.

The new machine can be equipped with up to ten color channels (compared to nine on other flatbeds). "Users configure the channels according to their needs and can adjust their number at any time thereafter." emphasizes the manufacturer.
The SwissQprint ink set is Greenguard Gold certified and is available in CMYK, orange, neon yellow, neon pink, light cyan, light magenta, light black, white, varnish (2D and 3D) and primer.

The new mechanical base of the Kuru with its linear drives "guarantee precise droplet placement at such high speeds" she adds.

Like the Swiss brand's other flatbed and roll-to-roll printers, the Kudu is equipped with a Tip Switch vacuum table, but on this new model, it is divided into 260 zones, offering finer control over the vacuum area.

SwissQprint has also installed a new output software, Lory, on the Kuru, developed in-house. Its user interface with its virtual tray should further simplify the control of the large format printer.

And Kudu euros as well as the other flatbed printers from SwissQprint euros can be equipped with a roll-to-roll function.
