Two Konica Minolta presses comply with toy safety requirements

Product prints made with both Konica Minolta presses are guaranteed to be safe for children.

Two digital presses from Konica Minolta have been certified to the EN 71-3 and EN 71-9 toy safety standards. The AccurioPress C7100 toner press and the AccurioJet KM-1 B2+ UV inkjet press have been certified by the German TÜV Rheinland.

The EN 71-3 and 71-9 standards guarantee the harmlessness of chemical and organic substances in the materials used in the manufacture of toys through chemical tests.

The certification attests that the instruction manuals, packaging, labels, and blister packs printed with Konica Minolta's AccurioPress C7100 and AccurioJet KM-1 are safe for children, even when they put them in their mouths.

"We are extremely proud of these new awards. The TÜV Rheinland certification is further recognition of the versatility of the AccurioJet KM-1 range and follows ingede de-inking certification we received for uncoated and coated papers, including recycled papers" said Hidetoshi Omo, head of the KM-1 Competence Center at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe.

And this announcement follows successful testing with the same toy certification criteria as the AccurioPress C14000 and C12000 production printing systems.
