Composed of two inkjet machines, the Valezus range runs with a new ink formulation, more economical according to its manufacturer.

Riso launches a new generation of sheet-fed inkjet presses, the Valezus T2200 and Valezus T1200. The major innovation of these printers for the production printing market is their ink formulation. The Japanese manufacturer worked out a new oil-based pigmentary ink which functions with the traditional set of the quadrichromy CMYK to which is added the gray ink (G).

"Oil-based inks provide energy savings because there is no need for dryers as with water-based inks, and unlike toner-based technologies, no hot melt process is required." explains the manufacturer. The print also resists water and fading, it says without giving further details.

The Valezus T2200 , which replaces the T2100 model released in August 2019, is a dual-engine 5-color (CMYK) inkjet printer. With its two engines, the T2200 reaches a duplex printing speed of 330 ppm A4 in color or black in a single pass.

It is equipped with two feeder units and two output stackers allowing for the intervention-free printing of 8,000 sheets. These units can be loaded and unloaded with paper during production. In addition, the stacking unit is equipped with a jogging mechanism and a carriage, making it easy to move the printed material.

The CMJNG digital press Valezus T1200 is designed for short and long-run mailing printing. This more compact model (254 cm × 72 cm × 116 cm) reaches a print speed of 165 ppm and is equipped with a 4,000-sheet feeder and stacker.

This new line of inkjet presses supports PDF and Postscript files, as well as AFP/IPDS. The T1200 printer is also compatible with EFI Fiery controllers.

Both Valezus will be presented at the Hunkeler Innovation Days 2023, which will be held in Lucerne, Switzerland, from February 27 to March 2.
