Canon's Arizona 1300 flatbed table goes maskless

Flow technology now equips the Canon Arizona 1300 family of flatbed printers.

Canon expands its range of Arizona 1300 UV led flatbed printers, with the launch of F models: the Arizona 1300 GTF and the Arizona 1300 XTF. The F stands for Canon's Flow technology, a zone-free suction system.

Arizona Flow technology for simplified printing

Unveiled with the Arizona 2300 series in 2020, Arizona Flow technology eliminates the need to mask the flatbed table before starting jobs, thanks to an airflow technique that combines a zone-free multiorigin table layout and easy-to-use pneumatic register cleats.

"Arizona Flow technology works by creating a powerful flow of air around the substrate. This technology does not require sealing the support access path to generate vacuum. The pressure is the same over the entire table surface and is not affected by the location of the support or the number of open suction ports," Canon explains. "The result: less masking, simplified job changeover and versatile, productive and accurate multi-card or double-sided printing." This technology is therefore suitable for multiple short runs throughout the day.

Two Arizona Flow tables, two print sizes, three ink configurations

The GTF model has a print area of 1.25 x 2.5 meters, while the Arizona XTF has a print area of 2.5 x 3.08 meters. Rated at 50.8 and 52.8m2/h respectively, these GTF and XTF flatbed printers can handle multi-panel and double-sided printing.

The Arizona 1300 GTF and Arizona 1300 XTF are available with 4, 6 and 8 channels (1340, 1360 and 1380) for CMYK inks plus white, varnish and light cyan and light magenta. Channels can be added at a later date.
The GTF table has one vacuum zone, while the XTF model has two. The table allows the media to be placed on top without masking the air holes. The vacuum system automatically regulates pressure.

Three new printing modes and additional 3D varnish

The Arizona 1300 series with Flow technology offers three new print modes: Quality-Smooth, Production-Plus and Quality-Plus (available for 8-channel configurations) for high print quality.
Production-Plus and Quality-Plus modes offer an extended color gamut with light cyan, light magenta and white inks, recommended for high-end photographic and artistic applications.

What's more, the Arizona 1300 series with Flow technology is compatible with the brand-new PrismaElevate XL software. This enables tactile reliefs up to 2 mm high to be created.
