Two new high-volume Efi printers for textile signage

The Efi Power 340

The new large format Efi printers would easily replace several machines producing flexible signage according to its manufacturer.

The American manufacturer Efi is launching two new 3.4 m wide inkjet printers for the high-end, high-productivity textile signage market, the Colors 340 and the Power 340.

The Efi Colors 340 digital printer with water-based CMYK ink prints up to 850 m 2 per hour (in a four-color x 4 configuration). The Efi Power 340 printer has all the main features of the Colors 340, but at a much faster speed of up to 1564 m (1564 ft) 2 per hour.

"Thanks to their extreme speed and reliability, Efi Power and Colors printers can often replace several flexible signage printers, producing more high-end jobs with less space", says in a statement Scott Schinlever, Managing Director of Efi Inkjet.

They allow printing directly on textile (up to 450 gr/m²) 2 ) and on transfer paper with the same set of inks. It is possible to penetrate the ink on both sides of the textile support, allowing the production of flags.

Both printers are recommended for the production of table tosses, ephemeral promotional tents, decors, suspended banners, wall coverings, SEG (silicone edge graphics) backlit graphics, stretched fabric display graphics, retail displays and national or promotional flags.

They are equipped with a continuous ink recirculation system designed by Efi that reduces printhead maintenance.

Available with up to 24 printheads, the Colors 340 is available in four-colour x 2, four-colour x 4 or six-colour x 4 configurations, as well as an eight-colour configuration (CMYK plus clear CMYK colour inks and a penetrant).

The Efi Power 340 printer is available with 16 or 32 printheads (four colours x 2 or 4 colours x 8)
