Konica Minolta launches the new generation of its entry-level digital colour presses: the AccurioPress C4080 series, the successor to the AccurioPress C3080. Consisting of the AccurioPress C4080 and the AccurioPress C4070, this range of toner presses is equipped with new features that increase their flexibility.

"The new AccurioPress C4080 series is an important pillar of our production printing offering. We've chosen the versatility of the finishes and the flexibility for operators to reduce hidden times and learning curves says Laura Devisse, Product Manager Production Printing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions France.

The AccurioPress C4080 achieves a print speed of 81 pages per minute (ppm) and the AccurioPress C4070 71 ppm.

These machines handle a wide range of substrates, including coated and textured papers up to 360 g/m² 2 . They can also process sheets up to 1?300 mm long on the front side, sheets up to 864 mm long on the back side and envelopes.
It is also possible to add a media sensor that evaluates the paper weight and type.

The AccurioPress C4080 and AccurioPress C4070 are available in a wide range of finishes and additional features.

In addition to the booklet making, stapling, hot-melt binding and spiral binding tools already present on the previous series, these presses can be equipped with the TU-510 in-line cutting unit, marketed on the AccurioPress C14000 . This four-sided trimmer allows the cutting of full-bleed printing of banners, booklets and mailings, business cards as well as in-line creasing for the production of booklets up to six flaps.

Konica Minolta's IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Care system will automatically create profiles, ensure accurate registration and adjust colours in real time.

The AccurioPress C4080 series also uses Konica Minolta's SEAD colour processing technology, which guarantees very good colour rendition even at the highest speed, according to its manufacturer.
