New printing and finishing possibilities on the AccurioPress C14000 and C12000

Banner feeding, in-line die-cutting, color management software suite, Konica adds three options to its presses.

Konica Minolta boosts automation of its digital presses AccurioPress C14000 and AccurioPress C12000 . These two machines, which have already reached 200 installations in Europe eight months after their launch, are sheet-fed toner presses.

On both models, the manufacturer now offers two new units, one for in-line cutting and the other dedicated to vacuum banner feeding. Konica Minolta also offers a new color management software suite.

A particularly practical trimming unit

The new TU-510 trimming unit cuts and trims sheets to produce lost-margin prints with creasing options or business or postcards.

The in-line trimming unit (TU-510) cuts and trims sheets for finished, ready-to-ship products, without manual operator intervention. "Printed pages (with lost edges, Editor's note) can be automatically trimmed on all four edges. The SRA3 format can also be cut into two A4 sheets or four A5" sheets, says Konica.
The new unit also features in-line creasing, with up to five creases per sheet, as well as microperforation for printing tickets or coupons.
The TU-510 also handles the cutting of smaller formats - flyers, postcards and business cards, and banner formats, made possible by the vacuum feed unit.

"Our new online cutting module frees up our customersâ?? time and saves on the hidden costs of finishingâeuros, namely the back and forth between press and cutter says Laura Devisse, Graphic Arts Product Manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions France. They can also gain in versatility and add finishing to documents, even if they don't already have it in-house".

Printing on long-format paper now possible

The vacuum feeder (PF-812) enables long-format paper to be printed for the production of 3-panel leaflets, posters and flyers. It handles double-sided paper feed up to 900Â mm and single-sided paper feed up to 1âeuros300Â mm. In addition to the banner format, standard formats such as SRA3 or smaller can be printed.

Simplified color management

Third new feature. Konica offers the AccurioPro Color Manager suite, a combination of tools for linearizing, profiling, validating and controlling color quality on C14000 and C12000 presses.
