HP Launches Latex 2700 Large Format Printer Series

Available in two printer models, the HP Latex 2700 series offers a 30% wider color gamut as well as the possibility to use white ink

A new line of Latex printers from HP is available: the Latex 2700 series. This new series of large-format roll-to-roll machines with a 3.2 m width is designed to produce banners, canvas and wallpaper, window dressing, vehicle wraps and textiles.

Two models in the Latex 2700 series

This range is composed of two models, latex 2700 and Latex 2700W (W for white) which has white ink capabilities. The Latex 2700W, whose speed of impression in opaque white reaches the 54 m 2 /h, will allow to realize colored and transparent supports with strong added value, according to its manufacturer.

Broader and faster color reproduction

The symmetrical dual printheads of this new series allow to print in bright colors at 89 m 2 /h (and up to 121 m 2 /h as standard).

In addition, the printer, with CMYK, light cyan and light magenta cartridges, offers 30% wider gamut than competing solutions using UV technology, according to tests commissioned by HP and conducted by Venture Electronics Spain.

Reduced ink loss

Both large format printers are also equipped with automatic print head cleaning.

And thanks to the storage of the white print heads in an off-line rotating chamber no white ink is wasted on maintenance when these heads are not in use.

4th generation HP Latex ink

The Latex 2700 series works with fourth generation HP Latex ink. It is made with up to 65% water.
This Latex ink, packaged in HP's Eco-Carton - a recycled packaging made of recycled cardboard and plastic, is Ecologo and Greenguard Gold certified, which ensures that it meets industry standards for low chemical emissions. It is therefore compatible with applications in sensitive environments such as hospitals.
Its use is also odorless.

The Latex 2700 can be loaded with one 300 kg roll, or in double mode with two 200 kg rolls.

Two HP print service packages

With the new printer, HP is offering two new professional printing service packages - Basic and Plus - each containing support and software solutions such as on-site labor assistance, remote production monitoring and data analysis, and transfer of printer data to the company's ERP/MIS system.
