At the large format trade fair Fespa 2023, which takes place from May 23 to 26 in Munich, Germany, Mutoh presents, for the first time, the XpertJet 1462UF UV led flatbed. The Japanese brand will market the XpertJet 1462UF flatbed in Europe later this year.
This CMYK white plus varnish flatbed has a 1420mm x 700mm print area divided into multiple suction zones.
Two staggered inkjet printheads
The UV led machine is equipped with two piezo print heads mounted in staggered rows: the first head prints in full color, the second one takes care of the white and the varnish. This device offers a printing in two layers and prints in relief - as the Braille - in only one pass, without loss of speed.
Two new 4-inch wide UV LED lamps ensure almost instantaneous drying.
The printer handles a wide range of substrates up to 150 mm high and achieves a resolution of 1440 dpi.
Its UV led inks are free of any SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) chemical components.
