The P5 Robotics, Durst's 180-degree loading and unloading solution

Durst presents the new P5 Robotic loading and unloading automation system.

After Elitron's automated feeding and stacking system for flatbed printing, the P5 Automat launched in 2021, Durst takes things to the next level with the P5 Robotics, unveiled at the Fespa trade show currently taking place in Munich, Germany. This is the "next level of automation for flexible, continuous production cycles with long runtimes".

The P5 Robotics consists of two Kuka feeding and stacking robots. Adapted and programmed by Durst, these robots are capable of picking media from different pallets, feeding the printer and stacking printed media up to 180 cm high in several stacks.

With this system, unlike the P5 Robotics, printed media can be rotated 180 degrees for double-sided printing, and loaded into a second printing system. The P5 Robotics can also be complemented by third-party solutions or finishing systems.

At Fespa, this automation system is presented in conjunction with the 350 cm wide P 5 350 HS D4 high-speed UV led printer. This large-format printer from Durst is a P5 350/HS large-format industrial hybrid printer with a dual CMYK color configuration that reaches speeds of 708 m 2 /h.
