Two out of seven projects produced on an MGI press win at the 9th Digital Label Awards! The competition organized by Etiq & Pack named the Italian printing company Rotocel and the French group Autajon the winners in two categories: the printers used a JETvarnish press from the French manufacturer in a different way to produce these winning labels.
During the awards ceremony on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Espace Saint-Martin in Paris, the family-owned printing company based in Bologna, Italy, and headed by Catia Cantelli, received the Digital Label Award in the International category.
The jury was impressed by the Suadens Rosso wine label series. Its finishing makes it possible to distinguish the bottles instantly on the shelf.
Printed on an HP, the widely sold Suadens Rosso labels have received several successive finishing touches on the MGI JETvarnish 3D Web digital finishing press: two digital hot foil stamping, including a holographic effect, and for some series, a textured selective varnish in relief has been added.
On the occasion of the awarding of this trophy, the jury underlined the great quality and finesse of the hot gilding, as well as its perfect registration, which magnify a simple creation of great purity.
The 9th Trophées de l'étiquette numérique (Digital Label Awards) also honored the work of the Autajon printing company based in Montélimar in the Drôme region of France, which was produced on an MGI digital finishing press. The Autajon Labels division won first prize in the Variable Data category for its Caza Sorix wine label series.
Each Caza Sorix label is unique: the drawings and varnishes of the bats are all different. Autajon realized the printing and the selective varnish on the press MGI JETvarnish Color+, a version equipped with a quadri toner unit.
