PRISMAsimulate Ultra, Canon's software for more competitive offers and orders

The PRISMAsimulate Ultra application consists of two independent modules, one for cost estimation and the other for order simulation.

After the new version of PRISMAproduction canon is launching the successor to the TrueProof system, PRISMAsimulate Ultra. Designed to streamline workflows, this application helps printers assess ink levels, print proofs and reduce printing errors.

PRISMAsimulate Ultra consists of two independent subscription-based modules: Universal PDF Estimator and Printer Simulation Packages.

Jennifer Kolloczek, senior director of print planning, marketing and innovation at Canon Europe, said: "Print providers need to be able to respond more quickly while having the flexibility to meet customer demands. At the same time, they face other issues such as a shortage of skilled labor, demand for shorter runs and rising resource costs.â (âeuros¦) The idea is to simplify their operations and make them as transparent as possible so they can adapt to any market demand and know they can manage their customer data securely."

L' Universal PDF estimating tool provides detailed ink consumption information for Canon's online inkjet presses and allows for quick quotes without having to print the file first.

In addition, it compares ink and media consumption calculations to actual consumption, and provides management data for more accurate quoting and optimization of ink parameters.

Detailed ink and substrate consumption reports can be generated and exported as PDF or CSV files for integration into other management applications.

As for the Printer Simulation Packages associated with the manager PRISMAproduction in addition, he creates layout proofs and production simulations for inkjet and some toner presses.

This simulation of the printer during the prepress process makes it possible to check the layout, alignment and printability of each file offline in advance, thus reducing printing errors.
